Aligning technology with business goals through Enterprise Technology

Enterprise Technology

Many growing companies face the same bottleneck. A moment arrives when technology stops driving growth and becomes a roadblock.

While IT focuses on security protocols, Product wants to push new ideas, and Marketing needs to launch campaigns. The result? The digital ecosystem locks up. Without governance and specialized technical support, strategic development stalls. To make matters worse, the system crashes right during peak traffic.

This loss does not always show up on a dashboard. Instead, it builds up silently through quick technical fixes made to solve urgent demands: rushed code, non-standard configurations, and legacy integrations that still work but fail to support the current complexity of your operation. At first, they seem like quick fixes. Over time, increase the risk of downtime and make every new feature slower, more expensive, and harder to sustain.

That is exactly where Enterprise Technology comes in. At Dexa, we apply engineering tailored to your business reality. We have been doing this for over two decades, structuring and sustaining platforms for brands that cannot afford to stop operating or growing.

In this article, we show you behind the scenes of this practice and introduce our new suite of services.

A development partner for your entire digital ecosystem

Robust and scalable technology for mission-critical operations. CMS, DXP, Drupal, and infrastructure built for security and performance.

Our journey with Enterprise Technology so far

Over more than two decades, Dexa has become an expert in highly customizable technologies like Drupal, bringing this expertise to companies in Brazil and abroad.

From our earliest years, our projects required engineering that could withstand real-world pressure. We have built portals with millions of monthly visits, ecosystems with dozens of complex integrations, and systems that sustain entire critical operations.

This background made us the choice partner for brands like Labatt (AB InBev), BR Mania, and Hospital Sírio-Libanês. This journey also proved that the root of the problem almost always lies in technical decisions made without business alignment, architectures that ignore scalability, or systems delivered without documentation.

We understand that a digital platform is a living infrastructure that requires continuous evolution:

"We have partnerships that span over 10 years. What makes these relationships last is our focus on solving the real problem. For international brands, we deliver global-class engineering with 30% to 40% cost efficiency compared to US and European markets. For Brazilian companies with critical operations, we offer one of the most senior teams in the market. Our project results prove it."

What Enterprise Technology means today

With the rise of off-the-shelf CMS platforms and low-code tools, any company can launch a platform. The real challenge arises when that platform needs to process a financial transaction, integrate with a legacy ERP, or support two million monthly visits.

Because of this, the line between a standard digital project and an enterprise project is not the size of the company, but the criticality of the platform. When the system goes offline and revenue stops with it, when the data of thousands of users is at risk, or when the workflow freezes, you are dealing with an enterprise environment.

In 2026, alongside our rebranding, Dexa enters a new phase to consolidate an end-to-end delivery. Our Enterprise Technology division operates as an integrated ecosystem that unites systems architecture, software engineering, security, governance, and continuous support. It starts with the client's problem, not the tool.

"Dexa's new chapter reflects the maturity of a team that has faced the most complex scenarios in digital engineering. In 2026, we consolidated our Enterprise Technology practice to provide a definitive answer to the market: brands that operate with us do not have to choose between the speed marketing demands and the security IT requires. We deliver both."

In our technology services model, we connect five workstreams to solve distinct challenges in infrastructure, architecture, integration, and engineering.

1. Drupal Services

For projects requiring deep customization, strict governance, and true scalability. Systems Architects, Backend Engineers, and Technical SEO Specialists work together to build and maintain portals that handle high traffic volumes without compromising editorial control.

  • Enterprise CMS: structuring robust platforms to manage complex content workflows at scale.

  • DAM Integration: centralizing digital assets to ensure visual consistency and security across corporate materials.

  • CDP Consolidation: unifying audience data from multiple touchpoints into a structured foundation.

  • Technical SEO and Web Vitals: deep optimization of infrastructure and code to ensure maximum speed and precise Google indexing.

2. Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)

The conflict between marketing and IT is old and expensive. Marketing wants to publish, test, and launch fast. IT wants control, security, and predictability. Our DXP front exists to resolve this impasse. Heads of Technology, Full-Stack Engineers, and Information Security Specialists build an environment where both sides win.

  • Content Engineering: structured data organization to feed dynamic and personalized user experiences.

  • Systems Architecture: detailed ecosystem design to ensure fault tolerance and high availability.

  • Full-Stack Development: precise engineering focused on clean, performant, and easily maintainable code.

  • Information Security: applying rigid data protection layers and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

3. Web and Mobile Development

Websites and applications designed to withstand what the business actually demands: critical integrations, high user volumes, and business rules that no template can solve. Project Managers, Software Architects, and Computer Engineers map out the entire architecture before the first commit. Expensive rework stays out of the project.

  • Websites and Web Apps: development of high-performance portals focused on conversion and resilience.

  • Technical Predictability: mapping and defining the entire ecosystem infrastructure before coding begins.

  • CloudOps and Infrastructure: configuring managed cloud environments to handle seasonal traffic peaks.

  • Backups and Redundancy: automated data backup and protection routines to ensure business continuity.

4. Managed Services

We look after the stability of your existing platforms so your internal team does not have to spend their days firefighting. Support Analysts monitor systems in real time, anticipate failures, and ensure continuous evolution without operational disruption.

  • Predictive Monitoring: real-time application and server tracking to detect and correct anomalies proactively.

  • Continuous Maintenance: ongoing preventive maintenance to guarantee the perfect operation of the entire digital ecosystem.

  • Problem Anticipation: in-depth log and system behavior analysis to eliminate hidden bottlenecks.

  • Technical Evolution: gradual implementation of improvements and updates without causing operational downtime.

5. Technology Outsourcing

And when you need on-site support, senior specialists and agile squads integrate into your operation without a long learning curve. They guarantee deliveries and operational flow. Technical knowledge is documented and transferred. When the project ends, what was built belongs to you.

  • Multidisciplinary Squads: agile allocation of senior professionals focused on quickly solving complex technological challenges.

  • Agile Methodologies: practical use of frameworks like Scrum and Kanban to optimize timelines and organize predictable deliveries.

  • Structured Documentation: detailed recording of all engineered assets to simplify future maintenance.

  • Handoff and Onboarding: transparent training and knowledge transition processes for the client’s internal team.

From Theory to Practice: The Hospital Sírio-Libanês Case Study

Image case Hospital Sírio Libanês.

This service structure becomes clearer when applied to highly complex projects, such as our work for Hospital Sírio-Libanês (HSL).

HSL needed to evolve a digital ecosystem comprised of five strategic portals responsible for supporting institutional communication, stakeholder relationships, and access to healthcare information. The challenge was to execute this transition safely, integrating environments with distinct histories and needs into a more consistent foundation.

To achieve this, Dexa structured the migration across four fronts: a centralized multisite base in Drupal, a reusable component library, the automated migration of over 2,000 pages, and the re-engineering of external integrations.

Each portal was migrated and validated incrementally, preserving operational continuity and ensuring a smooth transition with zero downtime.

Migrating five portals with zero operational impact

  • 5 institutional portals delivered and approved in approximately 5 months.

  • 2,000+ pages securely migrated via automated import scripts with no data loss.

  • 400+ new pages created by the hospital's communications team using the component library, without involving IT.

  • Zero downtime during cutover: no digital service was interrupted.

  • Salesforce and Banco Safra integrations fully preserved, with zero failures or technical regressions.

  • Ecosystem maintenance costs reduced compared to the previous model of multiple licensing contracts.

Technology that grows with the business: Why choose Dexa?

A frozen digital platform does not appear as a clear cost line on a balance sheet. It shows up as a campaign that never launched, a delayed product, or a meeting that turned into a crisis. The true cost of technical debt is measured in lost revenue.

"At the end of the day, cutting-edge engineering is not built by algorithms or off-the-shelf software; it is built by people. Dexa's true differentiator is the seniority and accumulated experience of our team. We have spent the last 24 years refining our method and attracting talents who know how to act with precision. When a brand chooses Dexa, they are not just hiring lines of code. They are bringing an ecosystem of specialists into their operation, focused on bringing predictability to the future of their business."

— Luiz Petri, Solutions Director at Dexa

When technology truly works, it disappears. The business team operates autonomously. The technical team evolves the platform instead of just maintaining it. And the company can grow without carrying the weight of the infrastructure it built in the past.

Dexa exists to build that foundation. Through proven methodology, a senior team, and over two decades of delivering engineering for projects with zero margin for error.
