Elevating the MyCooler experience: Design System for AB InBev

MyCooler is one of AB InBev’s primary direct-to-consumer relationship channels. Over time, the app's visual experience fell out of sync with the brand’s evolution and its audience’s expectations.
Dexa was brought in to modernize the interface through a robust Design System and an app UX overhaul, without altering the existing product architecture or disrupting ongoing marketing campaigns. The result is a lighter, more modern, and organized UI, providing a solid visual foundation to support MyCooler’s future growth.

Modernizing the visual experience without compromising the existing product
CHALLENGE
MyCooler continued to fulfill its role of engaging, rewarding, and connecting consumers with AB InBev brands. The challenge lay in the interface itself; the visual language no longer matched the fast pace of modern campaigns, yet the product could not undergo a complete architectural disruption.

The interface lacked visual harmony, featuring an outdated graphic language that no longer aligned with the contemporary identity of AB InBev’s global brands.

Redesign, branding, and Design System implementation
Dexa implemented a process rooted in Design Thinking and comparative analysis. Our work on the Design System and UX overhaul included a branding audit, an analysis of existing UI, and benchmarking against industry leaders such as iFood, Rappi, and Uber Eats.
